For 2nd grade flag we review each week our fundamentals and play flag games.  As the season progresses players will be fitted for football equipment.  A second practice is added during the week so players can begin to learn the proper form and heads up technique for tackling.

Coaches will introduce team blocking concepts for offense and run scripted plays.  Players will be taught to react to what they see on defense and run to the ball to tackle successfully.

The 2nd grade season culminates with a scrimmage game where the team is broken up into a Gold Team and a White Team.  Each player will have the opportunity to carry the ball on offense and play on defense.

Our goal for the 2nd grade season is to build off of their flag skills and fundamentals and offer a smooth and enjoyable transition into tackle football.
